I'm a Florida-born, Amsterdam-based journalist and editor. My beats include travel, aviation, hotel news, outdoor adventure, spooky stuff, and parenting and pregnancy loss. My bylines have appeared in CNN, National Geographic, AFAR, Conde Nast Traveler, the New York Times, New York magazine, AARP, Outside, Cosmopolitan, Sierra, and many other top outlets. My writing has earned awards from the American Society of Journalists and Authors and the North American Travel Journalists Association.​​

I'm currently writing National Geographic's 100 Haunts of a Lifetime, a book about the spookiest, scariest, and most mysterious places in the world. It is scheduled for publication in fall 2027.
